Athletic Boosters
The Decatur Bulldog Athletic Booster Club (DBABC) supports all sports at Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School. An informative weekly e-mail, including game highlights and scores and interesting team information, is sent to a list including the Booster Club membership and interested alumni and community fans. If you have information concerning Decatur High School or Renfroe Middle School athletics that should be included in these updates, please send it to Vicki Ainslie at dbabc@dhsparents.org. All contributions are appreciated, especially game highlights submitted by parents attending away games. If you wish to receive the e-mails, please send a request to this email address: dbabc@dhsparents.org. Purpose – The purpose of the DBABC is as follows:
- To engender, foster and promote the athletic program, school spirit, and community involvement related to Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School;
- To assist and support the School Administration, faculty members and community coaches involved in the administration and conduct of the interscholastic athletic program;
- To raise funds for uniforms, equipment, and other aspects of the athletic programs as identified by the School Administration, Athletic Director, and Club members. No part of the funds raised shall inure to the benefit of the Club members.
The Decatur Bulldog Athletic Booster Club is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting the student athletes in City Schools of Decatur.

Run With the Dogs Frostbite 5k
That's run with the Bulldogs!! Each January DBABC sponsors its annual Run with the Dogs Race through the City of Decatur. This one-mile fun walk/run and 5k race will benefit all the student athletes at Renfroe Middle School and Decatur High School will be held on Saturday, 5 January 2008. The 1 mile fun run/walk begins at 9 a.m. and the 5K run begins at 9:30 a.m. The races will begin and end in front of the gym at DHS.
Big Dog Party
Calling All Big Dogs
Join the Decatur Bulldog Athletics Booster Club at the Big Dog ($500) level by August 15th and receive an invitation to a Big Dog Appreciation Party to kick off the new year of Decatur Athletics. SpiritFest
Join DBABC members, their families and hundreds of other Decatur Bulldog fans as they gather at the community bandstand in downtown Decatur for Bulldog SpiritFest, a community-wide pep rally, on Friday, 24 August. At 5:30 p.m. gather with friends and neighbors as the world traveling Decatur High School Marching Band, featuring the DHS Drill Team, entertains the audience with a spirited program. Watch the DHS cheerleaders as they lead Bulldog fans in a rousing prelude to the community parade. At 6:30 p.m., follow the band to the DHS stadium as families from all of Decatur's city schools join the community parade. Once at the high school, enjoy the season's first football scrimmage between our hometown Bulldogs and their long-time rivals, the Grady Grey Knights. Game time is 7:30!! Golf Tournament
Attention All Golfers and Bulldog Supporters!
DBABC hosts an Annual Decatur Bulldog Golf Tournament in May (this year's will be at Mystery Valley Golf Course on 12 May)!!! PLEASE JOIN US FOR A FUN DAY! IT'S FOR A GREAT CAUSE! Put it on your calendar. We are always looking for players, volunteers and sponsors.

DBABC Membership Renewal Time
This year's middle and high school athletes are preparing to start another successful year of hard work in school, on the field and in the gym. That's right, it's time once again to demonstrate your support for a growing number of sports offered at Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School by joining the Decatur Bulldog Athletic Booster Club (DBABC).
By joining DBABC your membership dues can immediately be used to buy the equipment and uniforms our athletes need to compete. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining our sports programs and helping them reach new heights in 2007-08. Tax dollars aren't used to buy uniforms, equipment (including nets, mats, balls, batting cages, etc.) and athlete recognition awards-total funding for these items comes from supporters like you! Boosters are believers in the importance of sport in developing children as well as building school AND community spirit. But as a bonus, Boosters get great benefits-free admission to regular season games, e-mail blasts of sports highlights, voting privileges, and more!
Take a look at our two newest membership categories added two years ago: Boneyard Booster and Big Dog Booster. Booster Club shirts, recognition on the Booster Board at the DHS Stadium and more can be yours! Join before August 14th at the Big Dog level and you will be invited to a Big Dog Appreciation Party scheduled for August 16th. Most importantly, your membership will benefit the hundreds of DHS and RMS students who participate in sports programs.
